Boys With Toys
There were always so many things. Lex's room was never empty, always a stuffed animal or action figure to keep him company. There were tiny green army men and land for them to conquer.
Then he was older and the army men were bigger, and much more real. The same battalion on a strip of land he knew well, waiting for his order.
The enemy was familiar, too. His favourite action figure come to life. Lex knew all his powers. They had played together before.
Lex loved his toys. But he could never pick just one. He wanted them all.
